How to Delete cells, rows, or columns

Select the cells, rows, or columns you want
to delete.

In the Cells group, on the Home
tab select a command to delete.

Click the arrow beside the Delete and click Delete Cells to Delete
Cells.
- For rows, click the arrow beside Delete, and click Delete Sheet Rows.
- For columns, click the arrow beside to Delete, and click Delete Sheet Columns.
Or
By
using the shortcut menu, Right click a selection of cells, rows, or columns,
click Delete, and select and click on the option that you desire.

For you to Delete a cell or a range
of cells,
in the Delete dialog box,
click Shift cells left, Shift
cells up, Entire row, or Entire column.

Deleting rows or columns automatically
shift other rows or columns up or to the left.
