How to Delete cells, rows, or columns

·         Select the cells, rows, or columns you want to delete. 
·         In the Cells group, on the Home tab select a command to delete.
·         Click the arrow beside the Delete and click Delete Cells to Delete Cells


 
 
 
 
 
    • For rows, click the arrow beside Delete, and click Delete Sheet Rows.
    • For columns, click the arrow beside to Delete, and click Delete Sheet Columns
 
Or
By using the shortcut menu, Right click a selection of cells, rows, or columns, click Delete, and select and click on the option that you desire.

 For you to Delete a cell or a range of cells, 
in the Delete dialog box, 
click Shift cells left, Shift cells up, Entire row, or Entire column.
   
 ·   Deleting rows or columns automatically shift other rows or columns up or to the left.
